Writing Update: Going back to my basics

Hello! Dominique Gibson is back with another post. I know that it has been a while since I have posted. I would personally like to apologize for that considering I have been very busy at the moment (well at least for the last couple of months really) trying to get back into the groove of everything (writing, posting, and Marketing).

Lately, I have been working on my current WIP and I am hoping that I will be able to finish it by the end of this year considering this project has been sitting in my drawer and hasn’t been touched too much since I left the U.S. for South Korea last year. Before that, it was off and on between my two other self-publishing projects: Courtney’s Redemption and The Reinmans.

Besides that, I am also looking at videos again on YouTube on the publishing industry as a whole. I came across two videos that talked about Publishing as a writer in the Traditional Publishing space in addition to going full time as a writer in the current age we are living in.

Here are the two videos I watched that talked about the publishing process:

Should you give up on traditional publishing by Books and Such literary management and The Truth about being a writer by Falstaff books. Both of these videos are available on YouTube. You should go and check it out.

That’s all for now. If I am able to include the links to the videos, I will do so at a later time. Until then, see you soon.

My first love has always been writing since I was eight years old. After getting my Bachelor's Degree in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago and struggling for years trying to get published the traditional way, I decided that the only way to promote my work was to promote myself which is why I am self-publishing my paranormal romance The Truson S.E.T. Series.
