Helpful Tips for Authors: Kindrling (for children authors)

Yes, it’s me. I’m back again with you another Helpful Tips for Authors article. I must say it feels good to write these articles again since I’m been so busy doing everything else! I have been self-editing my third book, An Orman’s Allegiance, in addition to writing the first draft of the fourth novel of the Truson S.E.T. series among other things. Anyways, I was surfing on Facebook again and thanks to my children’s book group on my Facebook page, I found a website that it very beneficial for anyone who is interested in doing a children’s picture book and is looking for illustrators to illustrate their masterpiece.

Kindrling is a website that has a list of children’s book illustrators who is ready and willing to illustrate your book for a fee. I know that there are a lot of children’s authors who wants to write and self-publish a children’s book (I’m one of them) but cannot illustrate the book themselves (Which is what a lot of literary agents are looking for nowadays) and doesn’t really have time to illustrate the book themselves (Since it might take a minute to in order to illustrate your book on your own using those software applications they always talk about). If you simply doesn’t have the time or patience to do it on your own or maybe you just want to hire a professional in order to illustrate your work, I would highly recommend this website to look for your perfect illustrator.

Prices range from $130 for a single page to $3,000 for a full 32-page book with cover design, illustrations (Interior and exterior) and typesetting just to name a few of the services available. If you are interested, click on the link above for more information.

That’s it for this Helpful Tips for Authors article. Please be sure to check back here on my website for more Helfpful Tips for Authors articles. See you soon.

My first love has always been writing since I was eight years old. After getting my Bachelor's Degree in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago and struggling for years trying to get published the traditional way, I decided that the only way to promote my work was to promote myself which is why I am self-publishing my paranormal romance The Truson S.E.T. Series.
