When you feel awful about missing a deadline.

Hi! Boy do I miss being back on this website with all of you guys! It has been a crazy couple of weeks but I am back with some more news on top of some other stuff I looked up within the last couple of days. I feel like I should vent today because of my plans on what I initially wanted to do a couple of days ago but couldn’t because I missed the deadline. So, I had found a really good website on Facebook where you could submit a 500 word Christmas bedtime story for children. It was basically a contest for writers to submit their story to be featured in a future anthology next year.

The deadline for this contest was November 20th and the contest was held in London. The prize was also having Santa read your story on video and it was going to be posted on Youtube!!!

I hated that I missed the deadline to this contest. I had plans on writing a children’s story based on the inspiration from my paranormal romance series, The Truson S.E.T. Series. But considering I was so busy trying to do my thesis novel for the fourth book of the series, I had totally forgotten about the deadline! Sooo mad right now! The good news is that I was able to finish the 15,000 word requirement for my professor to approve my thesis novel but the bad news is that I missed the deadline for a contest that could have benefited me in the long haul.

If anyone is curious about the contest I missed out on, the link to the website is here. Make sure you go under children’s books to see what the contest was about.

That’s it for this post for right now. I will keep you updated on future posts so be sure to come back to this website for more info. See you soon!

My first love has always been writing since I was eight years old. After getting my Bachelor's Degree in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago and struggling for years trying to get published the traditional way, I decided that the only way to promote my work was to promote myself which is why I am self-publishing my paranormal romance The Truson S.E.T. Series.
