The third book still in limbo…

Ugggh! I just decided today to come on the website and talk (or vent) about what is going on when it comes to the final book in the Orman’s trilogy and the third book in the Truson S.E.T. series. So I recently got my latest notes back from my editor, Judy Roth, and to my surprise, she had made a suggestion that I would have never realized she would make when it came to my latest draft. Before I was able to read her latest notes on my draft, I got this email from her when it came to reviewing my work:

Hi Dominique,
Happy Tuesday and here you go back, along with a few more thoughts on your notes in yellow highlight. Thank you for your patience. I think you are just about there, just a few more little things for you to look at. My turn around should be much faster when you send it back, like hopefully just a business day or two.

Just one idea I want to float by you. I worry because some of the plot lines have changed in various additions we might have missed a few of the old plot lines. I did try to look everything up to ensure consistency but because there have been so many moving parts I don’t think it would hurt for you to have a fresh set of eyes do a final read for you. Maybe you have a friend or beta reader or someone who could do it for you for free or if not I have a few suggestions, up to you. If you do go with a friend and find a few spots that need revisions I would be happy to look at those specific changes for you to be sure all good as long as they are in Track Changes so I can see them. Anyway just a thought for after we are done. Up to you of course.
That is all for now. Please do let me know you received.
Best,

Judy

I was totally not expecting this! So now, I have to find a beta reader in order to see if everything is consistent within the story. My hope is that I will be able to find a beta reader for free but if not, I just found a professional beta reader who is able to read my work for a price. The last thing I want is to pay more money for a beta read (I spent a lot of money on editing the work already). My hope is that I will find someone who is willing to read my work for free.

Here is to hoping I was at the finish line…

My first love has always been writing since I was eight years old. After getting my Bachelor's Degree in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago and struggling for years trying to get published the traditional way, I decided that the only way to promote my work was to promote myself which is why I am self-publishing my paranormal romance The Truson S.E.T. Series.
