Hi! Dominique Gibson is back with another post. I have been so busy lately with the last 10,000 words of my thesis novel that I haven’t had much time to do anything else. What a bummer! But now I’m back with another post announcing the the last ten thousand words of A Phiman’s Betrayal (the first draft) has now been turned in. As for finishing the book itself, I’m only a couple of pages away from finishing the first draft of A Phiman’s Betrayal, which I will be super excited about once it’s finished.
I want to say that after the first draft is finished that I will put it away and let it breathe so that I will be able to come back to it once I start (and finish) the rewriting process to Courtney’s Redemption before I send it to a professional editor. I have plans of hiring a beta reader or two to point out some flaws I may have missed after I self-edit it but before I send it to a editor for a review. Unfortunately, this will not be the case. The third class, the capstone class, involves me to take the first draft of A Phiman’s Betrayal and rewrite it for publication if I ever decided to go the traditional publishing route (Which is highly unlikely unless I make a LOT of sales and even then, it’s still a gamble in the publishing world). I’m already at week eight of my second thesis class and there are only two more weeks left before the next class starts.
Boy how time flies.
I better get back to my writing now.
