Entering another contest: The Hawthorne Prize

Hi! Dominique Gibson is back with another post. I don’t know if any of you know about this but there is a contest out there for both unpublished and published writers to have the opportunity to win a prize or ‘seal of approval’ for your book. The contest is called The Hawthrone Prize and the final deadline to submit to this contest is Sunday, April 30th, 2023 (I know, I have such bad timing right?). It only costs $54 dollars to include your book in the contest. The only downside to this is that your book has to be published between 2019-2024. Any books that have been published before then will not be able to enter the contest.

For this contest, I decided to pay the $54 dollar fee to enter my first book, An Orman’s Revenge’ into the contest. It made sense to enter it considering it is the first book in the Truson S.E.T. Series. I am hoping that through this contest, I will be able to gain some sort of prize for the work I have done when it comes to the first three books in the series. If you would like more information about the contest, please click on the link here and enter before April 30th!

That’s it for this post. See you soon.

My first love has always been writing since I was eight years old. After getting my Bachelor's Degree in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago and struggling for years trying to get published the traditional way, I decided that the only way to promote my work was to promote myself which is why I am self-publishing my paranormal romance The Truson S.E.T. Series.
