Book Review: Frenemy Fix-Up by Yahrah St. John

HI! I know it’s been a while since I have posted on here. I have been super busy making moves when it comes to book promoters, finishing up my two books, along with working a full time job and doing other projects that are not related to writing at all (I will announce the other project I am doing now at a later time). Since my last post, I have been a little bit behind when it comes to doing book reviews but I am trying my best to catch up when it comes to these reviews so I have decided to do a book review of a book I recently finished about two months ago. Let’s get on with it!

Title of book: Frenemy Fix-Up, A Harlequin Novel

Author: Yahrah St. John

Series: Afterglow Books

Year it was published: 2024

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Rating: FIVE STARS

Shay Davis is feeling on top of the world right now: After the hard work and dedication she has done when it came to achieving her goals in life, she was finally on the verge of owning her own yoga studio. Life seems to be going good, even when she bumps into a person that she is not so quite fond of: Colin Anderson, a guy that she despised back in her younger days. For a while, the feelings seems almost neutral until they realize the brimming attraction growing between them to where they start sleeping together. They both agree that there is nothing more than a fling…until Colin gets a health scare that causes him to run back to Shay for some extra yoga instructions to keep his job afloat. Little do they realize that both of them will have to make a choice about what kind of relationship is blooming between them. Can they handle the undying attraction between them while keeping things ‘business professional?”

I gave this book five stars because I loved the way the author weaves in the characters current issues when it came to their love lives while trying to figure out who they are and what they want out of their lives. In addition to that, I loved the hot intense scenes between the characters and the interesting twist at the end that I wasn’t expecting (A huge plus for this on her end as well).

If you would like to grab a copy of the book I have just reviewed, then you can click on the link above to purchase the book on Amazon. It is also available at other online stores as well. Grab your copy today.

That’s all for now. See you soon.

My first love has always been writing since I was eight years old. After getting my Bachelor's Degree in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago and struggling for years trying to get published the traditional way, I decided that the only way to promote my work was to promote myself which is why I am self-publishing my paranormal romance The Truson S.E.T. Series.
