Helpful Tips for Authors: Tugboat Designs

Well, it’s been awhile since I have done this but something grabbed my attention today and I wanted to share it with authors who are looking for some premade book covers in romance and women’s fiction. Unfortunately for me, this website wouldn’t work for my futuristic paranormal romance series. But that’s okay, I’m sure there will be other options for me in the future.

Anyways, I looked up some of the covers and I thought it would be an excellent idea to use them in the future if I ever decide to write a women’s fiction novel (which will be sometime in the near future) or a contemporary romance. This would be my first choice based on the images alone.

Hello Dominique,
Yay, it looks clean! I’m sending it back, not sure why as it’s what you have. I didn’t see any changes that needed to be made. I think you are good to move to the next stage. So exciting! Congratulations!!

Something for me to think about: Starting my own preschool

Hi! Dominique Gibson is back with another post. I know that I initally started this website to talk about my writing and publishing endeavors (which I will get back to later in the week) but I decided that I wanted to share this with you. On Monday, May 24th, 2021, I officially got this book that details how to start a preschool. I have been thinking about this for a while considering I have a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Administration from National Louis University and have been in the early childhood field for a long time.

Brought the book

So, the other day, I was browsing through Facebook when I saw an ad that talked about starting your own preschool. While it mostly targets single moms who want to earn an extra income while staying at home with their children, I think there might be some information about home daycares as well.

If you want more information about this, you can check out her website down below. Enjoy!

Something to think about: Rich vs. Wealthy

Hi! Dominique Gibson is back with another post for today. So I was doing some browsing on the internet today (even though I am supposed to be working on my homework right now, go figure) and I stumbled across an article that peeked my interest. It talked about the differences between someone who is rich (like a NBA basketball star who has a ten million dollar contract) vs. someone being wealthy ( An elementary school teacher who makes $30,000 a year and lives frugally) and what happens between the two. It will make you think twice about how people view money when it comes to this article. Check out the link below for more information about this article.

My other life: Toddler teacher

my artwork
Children’s artwork

Hi! Dominique Gibson is back with another post. I just thought I would post some more pictures of my other life as a toddler teacher. I decided to do some artwork with the children this week considering it was raining and we couldn’t go outside so I decided to let the children exercise their small motor/ creative writing skills by coloring on a piece of paper to let them explore. Even though I don’t do this as often as I should considering it’s getting warm outside and we try as much as we can to go outside, I still enjoy coloring with them and even go so far as to ask questions about what they are coloring.

This technique improves their language skills even though you may not have any clue to what they are saying when you ask them what they are coloring.

That’s it for now. See you soon.
