Inspiration for future novels: The Mourning Dove?

Bird outside my window
Her babies she hatched
Empty nest

Hello! Dominique Gibson is back with another post. I meant to do this post as soon as I started taking pictures of this magnificent bird but I was so busy doing other things that I let it slip me by. Before I decided to delete it forever from my phone, I decided to share it on my website (and maybe a few other places as well) about this bird. So this bird had been sitting outside of my window a couple of weeks ago. I decided to take a picture and show it to the children in the classroom.

Just days after this bird sat outside of my window, I watched this bird again and saw that the bird had baby birds inside the nest! Every day when I got off of work, I would watch the window to see them grow. Two more weeks went by before I saw them growing up and eventually leave the nest. I still had the pictures in my phone so I decided to look them up. The results I got from Google was the mourning dove.

So, I decided to look it up and share the link with you on what this bird is and why I think they might be a perfect fit for a future novel. Enjoy!

My first love has always been writing since I was eight years old. After getting my Bachelor's Degree in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago and struggling for years trying to get published the traditional way, I decided that the only way to promote my work was to promote myself which is why I am self-publishing my paranormal romance The Truson S.E.T. Series.

  1. Your story is simple, but can have so many powerful messages. The can represent so many things in life. The dove in the bible represents a comforter. But doves can also represent new life or growth.
